Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent to help with spam detection. An anonymized string (hash) of your email may be sent to Gravatar to check if you use the service. Gravatar’s privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval, your profile image appears publicly next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email and website in cookies for convenience; they last 1 year.
When you visit the login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close the browser.
When you log in, we set cookies to save your login info and display choices. Login cookies last 2 days, screen options cookies last 1 year. If you select “Remember Me”, login persists for 2 weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved indicating the post ID; it expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-ups automatically. For users who register (if any), we store the personal information provided in their profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (username cannot be changed). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you provided.
